The Captain's Verses Of Life
TERRITORIOS is an exhibition of three artists from different countries and different cultural backgrounds but who share multiple qualities. They investigate their environment and ask themselves how they may shape it through the visual. The outcome of their investigations are intriguing. Please join our opening event February 6 to see the artist's creative explorations that merge research, image making, and social questioning.
Enrique Collar

Enrique Collar will show the results of research that he began a some years ago. His research asks 'What is a painting? What is a picture? Why would you reproduce a photo by hand when you can order prints online? Since the invention of the camera and the use of analogue, and now digital cameras, questions and discussions on this topic have arisen. With his series 'Bollywood' he places photography and paintings in juxtaposition to address such questions. A number of works from the series will be on display.
Gabriela Dávalos

Gabriela Dávalos will present various works during the exhibition, including Identity Machine. This installation is the result of research and questioning about Identity, her position and that of others. Identity Machine bridges the gap between different paths and identities of people to ask, what extent are we connected or isolated? ... She invites you to join this journey, how far do you dare to go?
Machyta
Machyta, using contemporary and classical images from his image archive presents a collection of works inspired by media events and current affairs in connection to his own memories and experiences. His practice works as a form of translation combining image making and research into what he calls 'Sculptings'; a technique he has been developing since his time at the art academy in 2000.
